How to ask for corrective-action evidence without overstating it
A supplier may claim that defects are “always solved.” A buyer needs a view of how a specific issue was recorded, contained and checked afterward.
What the primary source can establish

A field-level check
Request a redacted example showing issue description, affected lot, containment, root-cause review, corrective action, owner and effectiveness check. Assess whether the example relates to the product and process being considered.
Write down the exact field, the party that supplied the information, the original document or page, the date seen and the scope of the check. If a reviewer took an action, record that action rather than a general “verified” label. Reopen the source when the transaction or underlying document changes.
Where the inference stops
A polished template is not a demonstrated response to a real issue. A single closed case also does not prove future performance.
A missing answer is a question to resolve, not permission to substitute a guess. Separate a statement by the supplier from a public record and from a documented human review. No source in this article proves a quality ranking or an existing buyer relationship.
What to record before deciding
Record what was actually reviewed and what remains unknown. Use the information to shape contractual notification and remedy terms, not to create a permanent “zero defect” label.
