Editorial policy

Source Ledger explains how to read supplier directory fields and evaluate the evidence behind them. We have no verified company dossiers to publish. We therefore publish methods, field definitions and editorial rules before considering any named supplier profile.

We do not certify, rank or recommend suppliers. A public registration entry, a company statement and a human review are different kinds of information. None alone proves production capability, quality or a buyer relationship.

Three evidence labels

• Public record: a specific field from an original public register or standards body, with a retrievable link and review date.
• Company statement: a supplier's own description of products, facilities, capacity or customers, labelled as a claim until independently checked.
• Human check: a recorded method, date and scope. A check of an entity name does not verify a factory, product or contract.

Missing evidence stays missing. If a source conflicts with a field or an edition is out of date, we remove or qualify the claim. We do not sell a “verified supplier” badge or infer business relationships.

How to use the site

Start with sources and identity or capability and quality. Use the evidence checklist to list missing material, then browse the guide library. Every article links the external source that supports its factual claim. Editorial checklists are our methods, not certification programmes.
